Amen and amen. How you guys doing tonight? Did you get a copy of the prayer list? Okay, good.

0:09.8

Well, thanks for coming. If you're joining us online, we're so grateful that you are. I announced last Thursday and then again on Sunday that I was going to be doing a

0:25.6

teaching not by my choosing because it's so convicting.

0:38.3

I am keenly aware that the title I'm choosing and using

0:47.3

may be a little or a lot uncomfortable and convicting. However, there's a word that God has for all of us in this,

1:07.7

myself included.

1:14.6

If I could be so candid, there's another reason. And it's because I was so convicted by this when in my time with the Lord,

2:24.8

when I don't pray.

2:28.2

So we're once again going to approach it from a different angle as they say and in so doing I

2:40.9

want to draw your attention to Luke's Gospel chapter 22 beginning in verse 39 now

2:46.8

let me set the stage because this is probably late in the evening.

2:56.4

We could be talking 11 p.m., maybe midnight, and it's the night before, and Jesus knows, and he's the night before and Jesus knows and he's tried to let his disciples know what's coming to

3:17.5

prepare them namely the crucifixion and subsequent resurrection, but this is perhaps, again, one of the most difficult

3:37.3

passages to read, let alone apply, and I'll even add to that teach.

3:46.4

So now we'll pick it up in verse 39.
