Hippler has ruled that the case is going to go forward. And this was not really unexpected.

He gave hints to Ann Taylor from the defense that that was what he intended to do.

He gave Ann Taylor and the defense hints that he wasn't looking to put this trial off.

Taylor kept insisting she needed because of the voluminous amount of evidence that she had to go

thank you, judge, it's about time that this case moves forward. The defense and the

prosecution, let's get this case moving, you know, and I think the prosecution under Bill

they want to get this case moving and some of the things that have slowed it down of course

is that it's a death penalty case and now they have to pick a jury that is death penalty qualified. And that also can exacerbate

this situation because people that are anti-death penalty simply won't get chosen as jurors on this

case. So yes, that makes this a little bit more difficult. But all of the

rulings that Judge Hippler set forth in this past week seem to be pro-prosecution.

But I would argue that it's not pro-prosecution or anti-defense. What it is is simply following the law.

And Judge Hippler wants his courtroom to run in a fashion that adheres to the law and specifically case law.
