Summary
Galatians 2:17-21 - But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! 18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness[c] were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

| 0:14.6 | you to think of the following situation. Imagine some circumstance in your life |
| 0:21.9 | where you know someone who professes to be a |
| 0:25.9 | believer in Christ and you have believed for a long time that they are a |
| 0:30.2 | believer in Jesus Christ. But then you start to see things in their life that make |
| 0:35.7 | you question. You begin to see behavior, attitudes, decisions that they're making that don't |
| 0:42.1 | seem to be the decisions that a person committed to Jesus Christ would be making. |
| 0:47.0 | That is a very odd place to be in. |
| 0:51.0 | There's kind of a dissonance that rises up in your thinking and in your heart because |
| 0:56.3 | you want to believe quote unquote the best about them. You want to believe that the faith |
| 1:00.8 | they have long professed is truly genuine. But their behavior and their |
| 1:06.4 | attitudes are showing something that seems to be different. See today in |
| 1:12.1 | Galatians chapter 2 the Apostle Paul is going to address an issue similar to this |
| 1:16.9 | because when that happens we ask ourselves what is it that's going on what is really happening behind the scenes in that person's heart? |
| 1:27.0 | And in Galatians chapter 2, verse number 17, |
| 1:30.6 | here's what the apostle Paul writes He says, but if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, |
