0:51.8	But at the same time, Charlotte Mecklenburg police officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle for having a covered license plate.
0:59.1	When the driver of that vehicle, a Jeep, refused to pull over, the officers were left with a decision.
1:04.7	Let him go or engage in a pursuit.
1:07.5	They chose to pursue.
1:08.7	They said the driver eventually sped up and drove into the wrong lane, at which point police disengaged for the last time.
1:15.6	A misdemeanor covered license plate set off a police pursuit during rush hour that ended with this scene.
1:21.6	And so that crash killed a woman and left her friend in a coma.
1:25.6	But a WCNC Charlotte investigation found they are not
