But at the same time, Charlotte Mecklenburg police officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle for having a covered license plate.

When the driver of that vehicle, a Jeep, refused to pull over, the officers were left with a decision.

They chose to pursue.

They said the driver eventually sped up and drove into the wrong lane, at which point police disengaged for the last time.

A misdemeanor covered license plate set off a police pursuit during rush hour that ended with this scene.
