One of the best questions that I've learned to ask, maybe not even voice, but ask in my mind, is this.

What's happened to this person?

Especially if a person is angry, is frustrated, is maybe disrespectful, or is showing up in the world in a way that you don't like.

It doesn't mean that we're giving access to everybody and we're forgiving everybody everything, you know,

that's not the point of this episode.

But its understanding is a compassionate human

that everyone has a story.

And I believe that if we truly knew someone's origin story or what it is that they had suffered,

what it is that they're currently going through behind the scenes, what it is that they've lived

through, we would have tolerance and patience and even love, dare I say, for everybody.

I remember one of the various schools I went to when I was young, there was a girl who was new and for some reason she didn't really speak and she didn't make any friends. People thought that she was weird. Kids can be me, I know. But because she wasn't really engaging and she was just pretty silent, she got picked on a little bit. People were like, why she's so weird? Why she so strange why doesn't she talk and I was

gifted with a mother who was always very compassionate and to like you know my mom

grew up with nothing and me and my sisters too because of our you know dysfunctional

family sometimes you know we were the weird kids my mum always said you know well you

know what happened to her you don't know why don't you be that, my mom always said, you know, sit with someone lonely at school.

And so one day, this girl was Stephanie.

I sat next to her in science class and I offered her some gum and you know we spoke she

was you know very very quiet and you know not much happened that day but a

second time that a second time we also sat together in science,

and then a third time, her and I had a conversation

as we were leaving class together.
