Welcome to the Conversations that Matter Podcast. My name is John Harris. We have a full episode today. We're going to be talking about the latest article on the election from John Piper. Many have commented on it. I've been asked to comment on it quite a bit, maybe more than any other article.

And yeah, this is like the week before the election, so everyone is running for the hills or they're trying to make

their last minute pitches for their candidate this is exciting for those of you who are

political junkies in other words like politics is your, you're just reacting to everyone else's reactions,

I used to be a little more like that.

I'll be honest with you, I'm just not.

I used to be checking the polls all the time. In fact, as a member of a Baptist

church, I probably shouldn't say this, but there was one time. I will just say it

was in a more younger immature state. I wouldn't do it now, but there was a time when I even

pitched a little money, I think it was like 50 bucks, that I put on a, I forget the name of the

website, but it was a website where people were betting on who would win what primary and go on to the general and I did well at first and then the guy that I thought would be getting to the general election didn't do so well and so I lost it
