0:20.0	Today's episode of our Second Chronicles 10 through 12 was a tongue- twisting tale of two leaders. Gerbooam had an inferiority complex and Rehboam had a superiority complex.
0:26.0	Now Rehboam was the son of Solomon and even though Solomon was a great king he accumulated a lot of wealth and exercised a lot of wisdom.
0:35.1	His heart was turned away from the Lord after he married Pharaoh's daughter.
0:38.6	Remember, he started allowing idle worship into his heart and his home and his country peace by peace.
0:45.7	And we're going to talk about the very unwise things his son, Rehboom, did today to contribute

0:55.0	kingdoms but Second Chronicles 1015 tells us all this was brought about by God
1:00.1	because of Solomon's apostasy.

1:11.0	is very dangerous. We also read this with an open hand, seeing
1:15.3	through these examples how repentance and obedience, which by the way are always
1:20.0	available to us, can lead to the restoration of God's blessing. I'm not sure which
1:25.5	one will land with you today, maybe both, but let me tell you the story. When
1:30.6	Solomon died, the country was strong, they were wealthy, the temple was extravagant and beautiful.
1:36.0	The people were finally able to worship God in the temple, and the wealth of Solomon was on great display there while they worshipped.
1:44.4	On one hand there was national pride and security. But on the other hand all this came at a cost.
1:51.1	Solomon had had to use resident aliens to do the hard work. He made them into slaves for the
