Hey, good morning everybody. Great to be with you. Hope you had a great weekend.

James, good to see you this morning. You look like you've had your coffee.

I have. I had like two cups already.

What do you have inside of that drink? I know a lot of people are wondering.

I know. Well, it's a glass cup that begs the question.

But it's coffee, people.

That's right. You know, it looks like it could be whiskey

it also looks like it could be um tobacco swell yeah but but you're too happy uh for it not to be

coffee i can tell that it's coffee oh those things might make me happy well i don't know about you but i got

up this morning and um sat down and i went through my my devotional some of you are wondering what

devotional i've been going through and this is ted pa paul david trips ted is his brother

who wrote an amazing parenting book called shepherding a child's heart but paul wrote this

devotional called new morning mercies a daily gospel devotional. And I got my pot of coffee turned on. I put some

awesome, nutritious grass-fed ground beef in my cast iron skillet and threw a few eggs in there together with the yolks and

some cheddar cheese. I made this amazing hearty breakfast and then I sat down with my Bible and

with a devotional. And I want to share with you what has really fired me up. So, you know,

sometimes a hearty breakfast and a strong cup of coffee are just not enough to get you through

the day victorious against the things that are seeking to steal your joy and your strength

and your hope and your faith.

So far more than a rush of caffeine, what you need is the gospel.

What I need is the good news of God's grace, no matter

our circumstances. And that's what I want to share with you this morning. Today, you will be
