Last night we heard from Randy Alcorn that we will eat and drink in the new earth. And he quoted CS Lewis that this

is not unspiritual, but is designed by God. Here's the quote more fully than

he read it.

There is no good trying to make God more spiritual than he is or to be more spiritual than God.

God never meant man to be a purely spiritual creature.

That is why he was, that is why he uses material things,

like bread and wine to put the new life into us.

We may think this rather crude and unspiritual.

God does not. He invented eating. He likes matter. He invented it.

He invented it. Close quote.

That's true.

And my point in this message is that we don't have to wait until the new earth.

Indeed, we dare not wait until the new earth

to begin to glorify God by eating and drinking.

The title of the message is, what God made is good and must be sanctified. See us, Lewis and St Paul on the use of creation.

So I invite you to open your Bibles, click on your iPads, get out your telephones.
