Rules in the home are important, but true change in a child's heart happens when he or she has an encounter with God's love.

charge of our parenting department. We're going to kick off today with a conversation that we

started last time with Jim and Jean Daly and Dr Kevin Lehman. that we

had started last time with Jim and Gene Daly and Dr Kevin Lehman and previously we addressed how to respond as your child acts up.

Today healthy goals to set for your child.

You mentioned in the book,

that transformation, that's a good goal.

What do you mean by transformation?

And especially obviously with our children,

what is that moment of transformation what does it look like it's a process you know

I often said that parenting

isn't easy I'll give you that but it is simple it's simple what do you mean it's simple well

there's a paradigm that works and it puts you an authority over your children

without being the authoritarian without being the authoritarian,

the permissive parent.

And of course, today, most parents come in two basic types.

The authoritarian, you're going to do it my way.

It's how most of us in this room grew up

in authoritarian homes.

Right.

But the premises are out there in huge numbers today.
