And let's get right to the Word of God. On Sunday mornings, we're going through the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

And today we're in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. And our text will be verses 27 through 31. I'll have you turn there at this time. And once you do, if you're able, I'll ask you to stand. You can follow along as I read.

The Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit is writing and says verse 27, now you are the body of Christ.

And each one of you is a part of it. And God, verse 28, has placed in the church,

first of all, apostles, second, prophets, third, teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.

Are all apostles, are all prophets, are all teachers, do all work miracles, do all have gifts of healing?

Do all speak in tongues?

Do all interpret?

Now verse 31, eagerly desire the greater gifts.

And yet I will show you the most excellent way.

Would you pray with me?

We'll ask God's blessing on our understanding.

Loving Heavenly Father, we're so thankful to you for your word, and we're so thankful to you

for this portion in your word that is open before us this morning.

Lord, we are keenly aware that unless the Holy Spirit opens up the eyes of our understanding,

we really have no hope of understanding that which you would desire to show us in your

word today.

So Lord, we're just going to ask you by the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and our ears and

even our hearts, especially our hearts, that we might both

receive and understand that which you have for us this morning.
