And let's get into the Word of God.

On Sunday mornings we're going through 1 Corinthians chapter by chapter verse by verse.

And today chapter 12 verses 18 through 26 will be our text.

I'll have you turn there at this time and once you do if you're able, I'll ask you to stand.

as I read. If not that's okay. The Apostle Paul is writing, he continues and says verse

18, but in fact God has placed the parts in the body every one of them just as he wanted them to be. If,

verse 19, they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts,

but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you. And the head cannot say to the feet,

I don't need you. On the contrary, verse 22, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker

are indispensable. And the parts that we think are less honorable, we treat with special

honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our

presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to

the parts that lacked it. And here's why, verse 25, so that there should be no division

in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If verse 26, one part suffers, every part suffers

with it. If one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Let's pray.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your word in this portion here in your

word that's open before us this morning.

We desire for you by the Holy Spirit to speak into our lives in and through this passage

today.

We want when you do to give you our undivided attention that we might hear and heed
