microphone a little as we get started. Let's get into the Word of God. On Sunday mornings, we're

going through 1 Corinthians chapter by chapter verse by verse, and today our text will be chapter 12

verses 4 through 7. So once you find your way there, if you're able, I'll ask you to stand.

You can follow along as I read. The Apostle Paul is writing to the Church of Corinth by the Holy Spirit and in verse 4 begins by saying,

there are different kinds of gifts, but the same spirit distributes them. There are verse five different kinds of service,

but the same Lord. There are verse six different kinds of working, but in all of them and

in everyone it is the same God at work. Now, verse 7, to each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Let's pray. We'll ask God's blessing on our understanding, if you would join with me.

Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Thank you for inspiring Paul

to write concerning the Holy Spirit to the Church in Corinth. Lord thank you for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Lord, our posture this morning before you is one of admittedly being hungry and thirsty

for your righteousness. And Lord, we're looking to you, the author and the finisher of our

faith, to fill us afresh and baptize us anew. Lord, will you speak in and through your word

into our lives? We're asking you for this in Jesus' name. Amen. You can be seated. Thank you.
