And that's talk about what is going on in the rest of the NBA,

but sort of through a Wolves lens.

And with the Western Conference finals over and the NBA final starting tomorrow,

I think we've got plenty of ways to do that with San Antonio moving on in Oklahoma City being eliminated.

I've got Wolves beat writer, Jace Frederick, here with me to get into all of that. Is it weird that it's June? Like, I was type of that out. Yeah, that is one of those, some of those months happen. They transfer and you don't care. But June feels like, oh, wow. You know, like April of the matter. I wasted May or like what happened to that? Yeah, but at least you had time to waste this year. So many times. I mean, the last couple of years we've done right now and it's like, okay, you like take like year one week and it's like, oh, draft. Okay, here we go. Yeah, it's just I will say like teams that get knocked out like round one, you have a significantly longer offseason than teams that make a real playoff.

Even if like Denver's offseason is significantly longer than Oklahoma cities, a full month where you know, you're ahead of the game just in rest or whatever and maybe getting back to work and all that stuff.

Like it's significant. I remember looking back last year at like the wolves season ends

and then oklahoma city plays the finals and i was like how much more did they just play they

played over three months i mean three weeks sorry not months they played more than three weeks longer

their season extended uh and that right there is just conference finalist to NBA finalist or champion. And I think that all of that adds up. I think that's relevant right now. Yeah, I agree. That it's the extra time like I'm just general recovery heading into the next season and having an offseason to work on your game, all of that.

Like it's hard to have an off season to work on your game when you don't have an off season because you're playing, you know? And not to say to the playoffs, obviously sharpen you too. But like skill development, all that stuff. Like, yeah, we'll talk about, I'm sure we'll talk about this more. But that whole, this is going to be the eighth different champion in eight years. It's very difficult to see how this isn't related.

Just real quick just because like everybody's saying that i saw you tweet about that and and you know and i'm the i'm also the

person who was like yeah you know Oklahoma city it's over dynasty, all of that sort of stuff. And now because Oklahoma City, they did play the extra month last year and they get knocked out, they get knocked out here, at least in part due to injuries, all that. And we're like, okay, well, we can't, we just can't like expect any team to be a dynasty here going forward. and then I'm like, oh, but the San Antonio one's like a little bit different.

You know, it's like when he's only 22, they're, they're younger.

Like, I'm just being on.
