And Eric, when we last saw Peyton Watson, he was a spot starter. He was at times a second option. He was playing the best basketball of his life. But then you don't play for six weeks. First of all, that's a long time just to miss basketball in general. Then you consider it's for a hamstring strain. Then you consider now he's coming back and he's probably playing with that second unit. That's also in a bit of exploration mode at the moment and talk about that in a second. So all of that is to say, Eric, do you expect Peyton Watson to be in any sort of rhythm offensively? No, absolutely not. I really don't. I mean, he'll have to get it back. It took him a while to get to the rhythm he was in. Like he didn't start the start off the season on fire. Obviously he had like, you know, spot areas he had to take advantage of. And he really evolved into a guy that we were like, I mean, the certain points, our highest points were like, is he Kevin Durant? Like what the hell's going on? Yeah, seriously. And then. Pull up midrangers. Yeah, we were like, had the insane comps we were pulling.

And he, frankly, was playing to that level. But I have, I literally have no idea how this works. I mean, I don't. Like, I don't know what, like, I don't know if Peyton Watson is the go-to scorer on the bench. I don't know if he's going to be spot start,

1:09.6

if he's going to play with the starters.

1:11.0

I mean, it's just to play with the starters.

1:11.0

I mean, it's just weird.

1:13.0

Like the mad scientist, as it were, is going to have a lot to try and figure out to get the best out of Peyton Watson.

1:18.8

And obviously, like, we all kind of thought he was just going to be a defender.

1:21.5

But the offense that he showed last time he was at full strength was like it's really hard to ignore and not think that it could be

1:29.6

very, very advantageous for the Denver Nuggets, but also has to work in concert with everybody

1:34.0

else. So I don't know what to expect at all.

1:35.7

Tough question for you, Dev. This is literally just your read and projecting, but he also

1:39.9

was really enjoying that second option role. He wants that. We know that. He's made no bones about about it that's what he wants to be in this league what do you think his mindset is going to be coming back after that injury with everyone else back well first off everybody everybody that has been good at something in life thinks they still have it you know like he's going to come back in trying to i'm aware i don anymore. Yeah, but we've seen you like on the ping pong table. You act like since you were good in tennis at some point. Well, I mean, I won the tournament. I still am going to ping pong, but I'm not going to tennis. Everybody thinks you still have it. Like, it is going to be hard for him to like turn it off to like ease himself back into right because you want to go

2:17.5

all out we've seen that with other players you know um ag is when he returned he wanted to go all

2:23.5

out it it stopped him from going christian brown had a part where he got injured and he tried to come

2:28.6

back a little too early and you try to go all out so it is kind of tough to try to ease yourself

2:33.2

into it um i think the great thing

2:36.5

about, you know, Peyton Watson is like he's just so athletic like that it works for him a little bit

2:41.7

more than having to go all out the entire time. Like he has just God gifted talent to be able to

2:48.4

move the way that he does. And also they have a DNA with that group

2:53.4

that, especially with the second unit, that he doesn't have to be the score anymore. He doesn't

2:57.8

have to be the only guy that's trying to do it because they've had to work around him. So I do

3:02.5

think that, I mean, he'll try to ease himself into this one instead of going all out.
