Many years ago, there was a speaker speaking to a group of men,

and he was talking about missed opportunities in life.

And at the end of the talk, a man came up to the speaker, and he said to him, he said,

I'm sorry, you came.

And when puzzlement and kind of feeling of offense

was written on the face of the speaker, the man continued. He said, the truth is,

you have reminded me afresh of missing God's best in my life. And then he continued. He said many years ago, I felt a deep

conviction and a deep call of God to missions. But then I said, I'm going to earn enough money so I can

support myself. And I began to earn money and I started making money. And then I kept making money.

And he said, I got so busy making money. Now he said, I have to earn money and I started making money. And then I kept making money and he said, I got so busy making money.

Now he said, I have all the money I need for two lifetimes.

But emptiness and void are my companions.

Well, I think if that speaker was on his feet or can think fast enough, should have said to the man that you can do with the blessings that God has given you more than what you would have accomplished by yourself.

Because it's never too late with God's economy.

But back then, I was young and green.

Because I can tell you, as I traveled the globe, and as I talk to so many people,

this man is not alone.

There are so many individuals who live in regret about what they could have accomplished,

what could have happened.

Had they been obedient, had they done this or had they done that?

And so those who miss out on the opportunities that God gives them or the open doors that God opened for them,

they continue to live their lives in regret.
