0:26.0	If you will today, I would like to invite you to shift into a teaching mode rather than preaching mode.
0:34.0	I want to build a foundation today to a really important question.
0:39.0	That question is, what does it mean to be a Christian?
0:45.0	You would think, surely, that's not what you're going to speak on today.
0:49.0	We all got up and got to church at a Christian church.
0:53.0	We're all on board with that already.
0:56.0	But I would suspect that there's somebody in each of these gatherings,
1:00.0	and definitely somebody who's linking in from somewhere around the globe right now,
1:04.0	who really would like a good answer to that question, what does it mean to be a Christian?
1:12.0	In surveys and polls taken by a Pew Research and another one by the Public Religion Research Institute,
1:19.0	65 to 70% of adults in America identify as Christian.
1:25.0	That's a crazy stat.
1:27.0	Six to seven out of every 10 adults in this country would check a box and say, Christian.
1:34.0	But what do we mean when we say that?
1:36.0	Are we talking about a religious preference?
