Let me ask you a big question. What does God want you to do with your life? You know, that's the

biggest question we all have. And I believe the answer is found in your gift. What you're able to do,

God wants you to do. So your passion, your potential, and your purpose are all

connected. But the challenge is, how do you discover that gift? Well, you know, years ago, I heard

John Maxwell give this great illustration about our gifts. He said, let's just rank ourselves on a scale

from one to 10. So I'm going to give you an example. In basketball, let's just say

that I'm maybe a 1.5. Okay, let's be real. I'm a 1. But I mean, I could practice, you know,

two to three hours every single day. I could trim my fingernails. I could buy all the gear

and maybe, maybe I could bump myself up to a level two or a three player.

Maybe, but here's the thing. Nobody pays money to watch a level three dribble the ball, right?

Nobody wants to watch a four shoot hoops in the driveway. But on the other hand, let's just say that writing

books or public speaking is more of a natural gift for me. And without even trying much,

maybe I start at a level four or five or six, but when I pray, I prepare, I practice, I can

push myself to get up to a seven or an eight or a nine and one

day get to a 10. Here's the point. People will show up for a nine or a 10 in their gift. That's why

you see people pay money to have a level 10 play an instrument or to listen to them or to hire a level 10 decorator

for their home. People pay money to have a level 10 organize their closet or a level 10 CPA

file their taxes. See, you don't have to be gifted in everything. You just have to discover your

gift and then go all in on it.

You know, God's word is clear about this. It says to stir up the gift that is in you.

That's 2 Timothy 1.6. Don't ignore it, discover it and then develop it. And the Bible says that
