0:19.0	It's actually not the kind of thing we would expect, you know, I could imagine if Jesus were going to come talk to
0:24.3	someone, introduce himself, you might talk to them about prayer and the Our Father, or maybe you talk
0:28.1	about the vision of the kingdom, the sermon on the mount, the beatitudes, or maybe you'd call people to repent or to talk. the he called to follow them. He asked them a very personal question. He zoomed in on
0:47.0	their hearts and he invited them to pull back from the busyness of daily life and
0:51.2	do something most people today rarely ever take time to do.
0:55.0	And that is he invited them to look inside their hearts and notice what's really there.
1:00.4	He asked them a personal question.
1:03.2	Do you remember those four words he used in that question?
1:06.6	He said to them, what do you seek?
1:11.6	What do you seek? And I like to just imagine Jesus looking us in the eye today and asking
1:16.8	us that same question to ponder what's really inside. Because I think many of us we say we follow
1:22.3	Jesus, but we're actually seeking many other things
1:25.6	in addition to God.
1:27.2	We seek our career and popularity and success, or maybe we seek money and financial security.
1:33.6	We seek our dreams for our kids.
1:35.5	We seek a certain relationship.
1:37.0	We seek being accepted by a certain group.
1:40.3	There are many things we seek in this life. We seek having a little treat. We seek that latte we really want or we seek getting that nice car.
1:48.6	There's so many things we seek in addition to Jesus, but I want you to do this right now. I want you to just imagine
1:54.4	Jesus looking you in the eye today. He's looking you in the eye and he's asking you that
2:00.0	question. What do you seek? Could you look Jesus back in the eye and honestly say,
