What we're going to talk about today is we're going to talk about mistakes. We're going to talk about failure.

0:48.0

We're going to talk about all the things that people hate. They don't like mistakes. They don't like failure. They always want to succeed.

0:54.0

They don't want to have to deal with those failures and mistakes. You have to learn from mistakes. They actually say if you didn't know this, they said if you survive your first heart attack, then you could actually have a better chance of living to 90 or 100 years old than someone who hasn't had a heart attack.

1:10.0

The reason why is because doctors say, hey listen, if you don't change the way that your life is, if you don't change the way that you are, if you don't change your food, everything that you consume, if you don't change your diet, if you don't change the way you work out, if you don't change, you could actually die.

1:28.0

Some people take that to heart and well, some people actually don't take it to heart as well. No pun intended. Some people take it to heart and they go, man, I just had a health scare. I should change my life and they go to a health food store.

1:49.0

You have to realize the reason why is because they failed. They had that mistake. They had that heart attack and now they can overcome that.

1:58.0

They can live longer because of the fact that they had that heart attack because it was the natural alarm system that your body has, the natural alarm system that serves you.

2:08.0

It's a negative thing that happens that people can learn from and make positive to make their life better.

2:16.0

What I'm trying to get at is everything that happens to you, whether it's positive or negative in your life, is a learning experience.

2:23.0

Learning requires failure in life. You have to fail and when you fail, you have to look at it as a learning experience and find out what you can get from it every single time you fail.

2:34.0

I'm going to let you out on a secret. Here's what most people do. Most people fail and they go, man, this wasn't meant for me. I must have picked the wrong thing.

2:43.0

I see all these other successful people. I must have picked the wrong thing. But in reality, all the successful people that they're looking at are just people who happen to have gotten it right once.

2:52.0

They say the great thing about success is you only have to be right once. But in order to be right once, you have to be wrong a lot more times than you are right.

3:02.0

So you have to fail. You have to realize that in anything that you do, there's going to be a lot of failure in sports.

3:09.0

And you guys have heard me say this. This is nothing new. But the reason why I say this over and over again is because I feel like the main reason why you might not be where you are, why most people aren't where they are, is because they're afraid of failing.

3:22.0

If you are afraid of failing, get the F over it and just keep going. It has to be something sports. You have to fail. You have to fail.
