What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius.

And today we talk about the position that I think has dominated a lot of the 2020s for the Lakers.

Lakers began this decade winning a title with the most dominant center rotation in the NBA, and I've spent the last several years making

sure that never happens again. Now they find themselves in a spot where in the echoes of Wembe

versus Chet on one end and Kat versus Mowbly and Allen on the other in the conference finals,

looking to fill that position

over the course of the summer. It's a spot too that's very tied to Luca. His pick and roll brilliance

always needs a partner. And that's something that is certainly on the Lakers radar D. But even

before we get into the specific players and we will get into some specific names a little bit later on this,

I'd love to just talk about what the center position does and what the Lakers want to do

and how the center position kind of fits in that in the first place.
