Hello, my friends. Welcome to Follow Him favorites. We are taking a single question from this

0:10.4

week's Come Follow Me lesson and talking about it. John, this week's lesson, we're in

0:15.9

the beginning chapters of Second Kings. And there's a story in here about a man named

0:20.5

Naaman who expects something huge and gets something quite mundane, something quite

0:27.0

boring. So here's my question for you. What do you do when you have big expectations for

0:32.7

spiritual experiences for God, for life? You have these big expectations and the answers

0:38.2

are really quite what you might call just typical, kind of not what you expected. What

0:43.8

do you do when those expectations aren't met?

0:47.6

send lightning a thunder when a still small voice will do type of a thing. And I think

1:14.0

is telling us they weren't typical. They were extreme. They were huge. But for many of us,

1:21.4

oh, I just staying on the covenant path is a great thing and a great accomplishment.

1:27.0

And be an example to those around you as a great thing and it might sound mundane or

1:31.2

simple or those are the answers I always hear. But Heavenly Father needs people who quietly

1:37.4

just move forward and live the gospel. And in retrospect, that is a great thing. And

1:44.4

Naaman was asked, go wash in the Jordan and what was his response? Hank, the Jordan, that's

1:49.2

just yeah, it says Naaman was Roth. Here's he said, behold, I thought that he would come

1:55.2

out and call on the name of the Lord and strike his hand and recover the leopard. He has

2:00.0

this idea in his head of what this is supposed to go like and it doesn't go like that. But
