with their little feet going as if they're running in some kind of mythical field of, I don't

know, dog treats. Those always seem to make me feel a little better and a little less stressed.

But I didn't really realize the implications of this

anthropomorphization, if that's what it is, until I read a book by David Pena Guzman. He's an associate

professor of humanities and liberal studies at San Francisco State University. And he's an animal

ethicist.

He's also the co-author of a book called Chimpanzee writes,

and he hosts The Overthink podcast.
