The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Diontae Johnson to a team friendly contract extension that also benefits the 26-year old wide receiver. Johnson explained his route running strengths and how All-Pro receiver Stefon Diggs has helped him sharpen his skills to be a better wideout. Johnson also mentioned how eager he's been to get to work with Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett in Steelers training camp. In his first pass from Trubisky, Johnson got open against Ahkello Witherspoon on a 40-yard deep ball and caught the pass for a big play, and he says that's only the beginning of what the Steelers' offense will be able to do this year. Finally, the Steelers' defense got back Minkah Fitzpatrick from the NFI list which means the defense might be back to full strength soon as Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt took the day to rest. But with how good the Steelers' defense looks, they've dominated the Steelers' offense in most training camp practices.
