Well, thank you everybody for joining us. I'm Father Chris, and we are joining you live from the Faustina Center here at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts,

and we are not able to come from inside the shrine because they're cleaning it

for the yearly cleaning for our big Easter vigil this evening.

And so we are glad you are with us today.

We have a special talk because we are talking. This is a talk I've never

done before or even talked about in homilies. And that is the effect of learning what Jesus did

on Holy Saturday when he died and he descended to the dead or was it he descended to hell?

What was it?

Is it the hell of the damned?

Why did he go to hell?

What does it mean?

And we're going to talk about all that because today is Holy Saturday.

And so these are things that few of us fully know and understand, and we feel it's a very good

opportunity to give you that grace to know what our Lord is giving and showing us in his mercy.

Let us pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we ask that we receive you send us and that we

receive the grace of your son, especially on this, the Holy Saturday, that we may open our minds and

hearts to receive this grace and to be an example of Christ to all we meet. And we ask Mother Mary that you guide us in our journey

to the gift of your resurrected son. And we ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen. Name of the Father

and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen. Well, again, thank you everybody for joining us.

We're so grateful because today's talk is going to cover more than just what happened on Holy Saturday, but the whole meaning of the hell and who's there. Why are they there?
