We are continuing with our What's Next series, but this week we're looking back.

Three competing reports came out this week about

why Democrats lost in 2024. Three interesting theories that Alex wants to get into. And I'll tell you

what I think, think about it. Plus, we get to a few of your questions. So, Alex,

where do you want to get started, my friend? You know, I saw a lot this week. There's, do you

remember after 2012, after Romney lost that the Republican Party kind of went into a tailspin?

They did like all these postmortems.

It was like, it was like six months of.

And this postmortem was like exhaustively researched.

They spent like tens of millions of dollars on it.

And then Trump came down in the escalator and changed everything and none of the postmortem

happened, right?

You know, that postmortem said they had to get gentler and more compassionate and come

together and open the big tent to the Republican Party and not be so divisive.

And of course, yeah, the entire party, this just shows you can have all the postmortems in the world.

It has always been the case that it's who gets nominated for president the next time around

that has the, you know, that that actually decides or has the impact to move a party in one

direction or not. And it can, it can be in the opposite. I mean, parties tend to have a real

reaction. So the multiple losses of McCain and Romney made, yes, they wanted to go do their postmortems, but it was

somebody, it was Donald Trump taking the party totally to the dark side that happened.

And that's why I don't really pay a lot of attention to the postmortems, but okay,
