Which of course stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Some critics of D.E.I. initiatives

focus on how they don't have lasting impact.

Employees from marginalized backgrounds still struggle to climb the ranks.

Retention levels are low and pay disparity is still a major issue.

DEI often doesn't work because there's an imbalance.

It can sometimes be easier for companies to focus on and measure the diversity part,

which means they're spending less time and energy on equity and inclusion.

But the thing is, you really need to pay attention to all three to make lasting change. So how are we going to make that happen?
