What a lot we have to get through today.

What do you think has prompted the Ulster Unionist firebrand, David Trimble,

to change his mind about gay marriage. It's a fascinating

vault fast that we will explore a little later in the program. I will also be drawing attention

to the fact that Donald Trump appears to have turned into an Alf Garnet Tribute Act. Any even

well-meaning attempts to pretend that he's not a massive lying racist

finally died a death over the course of the weekend. We'll look at what that means and when perhaps the last time you were told to go home was despite the fact that you were born in Britain or course, whatever country you currently reside in.

I'm also drawn.

What I don't want to do is look back upon a weekend of sporting magnificence

and be one of those people who looks for something negative to focus upon.

But.

But, but, but.

I did find myself wondering why football fail, men's football, actually,

you have to say now, don't you? Fails to achieve the similar levels of civilisation and joy

that we see routinely in rugby union and we saw this weekend in international cricket at

the very highest level and of course at the tennis at wimbledon where novac joccovich

really was supreme in the face of what could go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest

men's wimbledon final of all time. It was a wonderful,

wonderful weekend of sport. But I do find myself absolutely fascinated by the question of why football is so violent. And I love football. Don't get me wrong. And that, we might get on to that
