I want to talk about a bunch of different players, obviously.

But I want to talk about who is the most to gain and lose with coaches. So like who's trusted more. The most to gain and lose with fans with like public perception. The most to gain and lose with minutes. I think coaches, confidence in minutes can be different. And so we'll talk about those

specific things. But let's start here with this, because I think Anthony Davis has the most to

lose or gain this season in all of it. But Cooper Flagg can gain a lot and lose a lot this

season as well, because I think Cooper flag can gain the most and lose

the most when it comes to confidence with coaches and that's the first one I want to start with today

because Cooper flag already has the faith of the coaches in some way right Jason kid

coming in to an interdictory press conference said hey we're going to play him at guard

we're going to give the we're going to put the ball in his hands we're going to let him handle the ball we're going to play him at guard we're going to

give the we're going to put the ball in his hands we're going to let him handle the ball we're

going to let him run the offense a little bit here and here and there so much high praise

said about cooper flag at the introductory press conference from jason kid that is the head coach

that's the person that decides all these things about cooper flag about this maverick's team about who plays, who goes, who lives, who dies, who tells your story, right? Like, and so with Cooper Flag, I think he can lose confidence with coaches this season. If he goes in and all of a sudden he doesn't look like he's as ready to go, if he doesn't look like he's as ready to handle the ball, if he doesn't look like he's as good of a score from year one, then maybe the Mavericks look at it and go, all right, we've lost confidence. Maybe not with Cooper Flagg for his entire career. Obviously, that's an overreaction. But for this season coming up, I can see a scenario where Cooper Flag gets the ball in his hands a lot at the beginning. All of a sudden it's like four or five turnovers a game missing some, you know, shooting 40% or maybe a little lower than that because he's just, he's trying to make the shots himself and trying to set himself up. And NBA is hard. The adjustment is hard. This is an 18 year old guy we're talking about. And then all of a sudden by the end of the season, the coaches are like, all right, we've got to push Cooper Flag to this different role and adjust his role a little bit, and we've lost some confidence in that area. And I can see that as a scenario. So that's why I think Cooper Flag is somebody that could lose a lot of confidence with, with coaches, because he's already there. He already has this spot with Jason Kidd, with this coaching staff, with who they think they are.

Some of with who they think he is.

Some of it is earned because of who Cooper Flag has been, who he's hyped up to be as a prospect for good reasons.

But I do think that there is a spot where he could lose some confidence.

I think that's the one that I think is maybe a little more interesting is that he could

lose confidence with coaches.
