Hello and welcome to the Sky News All Out Politics Podcast. I'm Adam Bolton. Well, local election results are coming in as we record this on Friday morning, but the pattern of the night, the story seems pretty clear. It's been a very good night for the Liberal Democrats, not bad for the Greens, bad light for Labor and a terrible one for the Conservatives.

This week we're also going to talk about the states of the government, not that the local elections,

don't impact that on well, and the sacking of the Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson.

But here with me to discuss all that are Sky News' team of election experts.

They are Professor Michael Thrasher from LaField College, Oxford, Will Jennings from Southampton University,

the head of Sky Data Harry Carr and Sky News's political correspondent Tamara Cohen.

Well, let's start with those local election results

and the reaction from senior figures in each of the parties.

We have won Trafford to an overall majority.

We have swings to Labour in a number of boroughs across the whole of councils across the whole of the country.
