Well, it was only a couple of short years ago when the Sixers were playing neck and neck with the same New York Knicks, having a six-game series come down to just a one-point differential over that six-game series.

Now, the story has changed completely.

How you don't know, Kyle?

Well, I just watched the New York Knicks when Game 1 of the finals, and I don't love it.

I don't love that we live in the timeline where the Sixers went through a dramatic rebuild,

got a superstar.

Of course, it's the superstar who can never stay on the floor and who they've never

built a coherent team around and yada, yada, yada.

And the Knicks, who, before we got to this period of time where Knicks fans were

taken over the arena and just spreading far and wide.

It was not that long ago that the Sixers were playing in New York on Christmas,

and you could hear loud contingents of Sixers fans at Madison Square Garden at the so-called

Mecca taken over themselves because it felt like the Sixers were in their moment, Derek.

So I would say to you as someone who, while maybe I'm not as personally invested in the Sixers

results anymore, but who is invested in like our city, our friends, our family, all these people

who spend so much time with us and this team having some joy and having to watch the Knicks

comprised of a team of Villanova players win against the Spurs in game one of the finals on the road is uh it's a tough one

it sucks no i like nix fans when they were having that 30 yearyear drought of, you know, being sort of like the frustrated fan base. Like they were tolerable then. I didn't mind them at all. They were not a rival in any sense. The last couple of years have been tough. And this run that they're on, which is really, it seems borderline magical for a 53 win team, which is a good season,

but not like a top of the league kind of season.

For them to be on this 12-game winning streak and seem almost unbeatable, it is, look,

it's led to a lot of confidence.
