Well, the team, uh, team brought me a clip recently in one of our content production

meetings and we were talking about this and I missed the initial Shapiro rant because he's usually doing a show whether live or recorded while I'm doing something and so I had seen and

just not heard it, I had not listened to it, but I had seen the hubbub, the

curfuffle, if you will, that had made the arousal of social media when he did his

rant about retirement.

And I've talked a lot about retirement on this program and I think there's some good in what

he said and then I take issue with with a couple of things.

But I think this is a very important discussion.

Now I'm not going to come at this from a political standpoint.

That's what he does and he does it well whether you disagree with him or not,

a talented smart guy and there's a political context to his statement but I think I want to get outside of the political

context and actually talk about the issue of retirement, the good, the bad, the ugly. But first, let's go to it. Let's

roll the clip of Ben Shapiro ranting on the issue of retirement.

No one in the United States should be retiring at 65 years old.

Frankly, I think retirement itself is a stupid idea unless you have some sort of health problem.

Everybody that I know who is elderly, who has retired, is dead within five years.

And if you talk to people who are elderly

and they lose their purpose in life by losing their job

and they stop working, things go to hell in a handbasket real quick.
