We are here at Family Sports Center where abs practice just wrapped up. I have a lot to talk about.

We talk to a lot of the guys in the locker room. I want to make sure I can update all of you on what we heard in the locker room and from Coach Jared Bednar. so you never miss an update. As far as what we saw on the ice at practice today,

Yoel Kivirontah missing for the third practice this week. Somebody who was on the ice though today is Josh Manson was wearing a regular jersey, not a no contact, which is good news as far as how his

injury is progressing. I made sure to ask Jared Bednar following practice today how both of those

guys were feeling and he still classified them as day to day, said they would reassess how they're feeling ahead of game

one tomorrow to see if either of them can potentially draw into the lineup.

Now as far as practice goes, I did mention earlier that this is the first practice the team

has had since they found out exactly who their opponent is going to be in round two. That was decided on Thursday when the Minnesota Wilde beat the Dallas Stars 5 to 2 and took the series in six games.

With that said, a lot has been talked about over the last couple days as far as scouting their opponent and seeing exactly what they're going to be up against in game one on Sunday.

But I thought was particularly interesting in talking to the guys about this particular opponent and scouting them, Nassam Cadry was very stingy with some of the details and saying, we don't want to give all of our secrets away, but made sure to mention that they're a hard checking group, a tight checking team. And that's a really interesting matchupup when you're looking at the last group that

the avalanche faced in the LA Kings they're going to be facing a better team in this one it's a

harder challenge and that's how the entire locker room feels they're excited to see a matchup where

there may be a little better matched in all facets of the game we talked a lot last series about

how tight that particular series between

the Colorado Avalanche and the LA Kings was. It was really tight, especially on the defensive

side of things. Scott Wedgwood led into the scouting of the Minnesota Wild with talking about

the regular season series between both the Wild and the avalanche, calling it a really tight series.
