I'm Danny Kelly with me from The Athletic today, are Jack Pitt, Brooke and Dan Kilpatrick.

Now, it's an unusual moment, isn't it, when we have no spurs game in the hurly-burly

of the first half of a European football season. We've got no spurs game to talk about.

And normally, we would do a mailbag, and we will do one in a few days' time, or we do one of those

sort of squad audit things. But actually what we decided was that we would zoom much further out than that

and try and have a conversation, sort of factual, scientific and emotional, about where spurs are,

what they are in the post-leavy world. Now, in doing that, Jack Pittbrook, to whom welcome, had sent us a whole load of

notes. Actually, they're the program. They're the things that people are talking about, want to talk

about. It also is helped, I think, by the fact that unlike myself and Dan, who are chained to the

radiator of supporting Tottenham-Otspur, Jack can take a slightly more

balanced view of where we are. So Jack, what I'd want to do, and welcome Dan as well,

is just to throw it over to your opening thoughts about, and we will get onto the team later

on and the manager, but right now, the club, its place in the world, and by the world, I mean the gigantic,

financial, political landscape of the entire world, because that's where these things

operate in, right down to, you know, what it means for individual men and women, girls and boys

who wear spur shirts.

Yeah, so what I was interested in is I think not just on this podcast, but in the football

media in general, we get so wrapped up in, you know, who played well yesterday, who's

injured for tomorrow, who's suspended, who did the manager, who did the manager say nice
