Another beef recall?

The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service FS has issued a class one recall for

several beef products due to concerns of potential E. coli contamination.

Now it specifically concerns six ground beef products produced by Cargill meat solutions

in Pennsylvania.

So the recall is after discovering that a previously segregated

product was mistakenly used in the production of the ground mince and burger

paddies. Oh, so it's only 16,243 pounds of raw beef that are believed to be affected.

Now this of course is taking place out of an abundance of caution and in

coordination with the USDA who have voluntarily recalled approximately

16,000 pounds of green ground beef products that may have been contaminated with E. coli and just so you know, it's only in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York,

North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Vermont, along with Washington, D.C.

So if you live in those states, you might want to, you know, check your packaging or just take your meat back.

And also remember that this recall is not linked to a separate E. coli outbreak across 19 states

from products produced by Gibson Farms.

So far there are 12 illnesses

that have been reported from consuming that

contaminated product.

So if you have dehydration, bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps, you may be a victim of E. coli.
