Certainly in the short term term with regard to Uber,

well, not the short term, the medium term, in it? Because I just say in it, live on the radio

with a straight face. That's a real danger, isn't it? When you do stuff ironically, off air,

and then a few months or years later, you catch yourself doing it unironically on air so

occasionally when talking to younger colleagues i might deploy the odd in it as a way of ironically

pointing out my advanced years some of my colleagues actually speak like that in it and and then i just did it

live on air without realizing that i was being ironic. That reminds me of bow ties.

Have you ever noticed this?

I don't know if it happens in your workplace.

But when I started on newspapers, you'd find the occasional old duffer who wore a bow tie with a straight face.

And then someone in their 20s, late 20s, early 30s, and I say this, because I've got a horrible feeling I might have flirted with it myself.

They start wearing a bowtie unironically. I beg you pardon, they start wearing a bowtie ironically. So they're wearing a bowtie by way of sort of going, ha, ha, ha, ha. Yeah, I wear a bowtie, take the mickey out, the old duffers. And then 10 years later, they're still wearing a bowtie. And they've never plotted the moment. They've never noticed the moment when they actually became the old duffer

that they started wearing a bowtie out of.

So I just made a fool of myself by saying in it with a straight face.

On reflection at four minutes past 10 on this rather chilly Wednesday morning,

I probably should have made less of a fuss about it and then you probably wouldn't have noticed.

But we are where we are

in it so i look at the situation regarding uber this morning and i see writing on the wall for a

variety of so-called gig economy jobs but i don't know what that writing said no let me rephrase that

as well i see the writing on the wall for
