shenanigans of a popcorn-fueled theme park journalist. I'm Carly Gwaisel. I'm recording this on a Monday morning, and I got to tell you,

today is my dog Morty's birthday. Today is Morty's birthday, and it's just a special day in the

house because the thing is, like, my dog has a sensitive tummy, so I don't want to give him

too many treats on his birthday. But also, it's his birthday, but I don't think he understands

the concept of birthday. So his birthday is just a day where like he gets to eat a special dog cookie

and it's just nice. And sometimes we put a little hat on him. We just like to think about him extra

today. And it's just very nice. I love him. I love my firstborn son. He is a dream.

Yesterday I took him to Pups in the Park, which I strongly believe is the best day of

the year in Los Angeles. The second best day of the year is when they do the L.A. Marathon, and then you

can't, like, if you plan ahead, you can't cross over so you can get into like really hard to get

in restaurants for breakfast. It's just nice because we walk around there'll be nobody out, which I guess was more

of a novelty before the pandemic. Now we're pretty used to nobody being out for an extended period

of time. However, Pops in the Park, best day of the year. I had so much fun with Morty. And a lot of times,

you know, when you bring your dog out, it's like a a lot, the vibe in L.A. is like, dogs are pretty

welcome everywhere, but it's like, like, I think, like, I think, like you bring them to a coffee

shop, that feels good. Restaurants, a little rifty. You got to sit outside. I don't bring

morty to any grocery stores. I don't bring him in any, like, like, places that sell food like that. But usually I'm just, I mean, I'm Midwestern. I get a little scared. I don't want to, like,

break any rules that I don't know about. And bringing him to Dodger Stadium when everything is set up for dogs to be there is heaven. Like you show up, you check in. They check vaccinations.

You walk in. They are like, they have patches of actual grass around that dogs can go to the

bathroom on. They're like going in a bathroom stall with the dog is also a mind-blowing experience.

Like how funny.
