After the postponement to start the season and the lackluster performance in Philly, we have decided to call for an Opening Day Reset!! Those first 3 games were just a warm up and we will treat them as such. Does our bullpen look like a colossal disaster? Yes. Did the team hang Jacob deGrom out to dry YET AGAIN? Yes. Can our batters hit with RISP? No. Are we choosing to ignore all of that for a little glimmer of happiness on the first home game of the season? You bet your ass we are! 1-2 isn't the end of the world. It's a typical start to a season same as anything else, it's just the way we're losing. We've read this book before, seen the problems, had the incompetent managers and now we've got PTSD. KFC and Clem are flashing back to seasons of past and it's all looking a little too familiar. The team's on the hot seat and will continue to be all season long. The expectations are too high and the pressure will only mount, but we gotta believe that Sandy and co. can get this sorted in short order. Come hell or high water uncle Stevie will refuse to lose. So we're taking a deep breath and following the theme of the year: Chill Out. Sit back, relax and grab a Coors Light because the year is long and the road to 96 isn't for the faint of heart.
