We tried waiting for positive news as long as we could, but with the recent news of Raquel Ferreira declining an interview for the Mets vacant GM position, the guys had to jump on the pod to discuss what has been going on with this ball club. It makes ZERO SENSE that the Mets haven't even been able to set up an interview for their president of baseball ops or GM positions and we're breaking out the tin foil hats and saying somethings a foot. We knew that the owners weren't thrilled about voting in Uncle Stevie at first, but to allow him to buy the team only to block him from hiring any suitable candidates is OUTRAGEOUS. Sure, some of the people on the short list were stretches, but we're basically trying to hire the equipment room stock boy at this point and aren't having any luck. A few excuses carry weight, but when you have under qualified, glorified statisticians claiming "lack of experience" is the reason they are turning down a multi-million dollar job, it leads us to believe that baseball has blackball-ed our franchise. The guys break down the timeline of events, who the most recent targets have been and how (if at all) we can overcome this for 2022. You know it's never good when we're rooting for a work stoppage, but we gotta believe that there's shadowy figures behind the scenes preventing this team from getting good.
