I'm Mark Stephen.

And this week we're going to be in the island of Westry, which lies northwest of Mainland Orkney.

Thank you. men are not or not me. The mist is beginning to burn off. The sun's come out. We're just standing in a little bay here with black-headed gulls off to her right. Every so often a fool marred just coasts past about eight feet off the water, eyeballing us.

Starlings squabbling for stuff across there.

I'm Mark Stephen. He's Hugh and McElwreath and we're in Westry.

And the sun has just come out.

We're looking across from Westry towards Papa Westry up in the sort of north-west of Orkney

The water is crystal clear

It's warm

It's beautiful

And it's just a completely different pace of life

We caught the ferry this morning

Across from mainland Orkney

And you can just feel yourself slowing down Which is a bad thing if you want to do a radio program

we're going to be you do all the work i'll just sit here delving into the wonders of west street you're going to be

looking at the archaeology the wildlife year the social. It's an amazing place.
