After the build-up, now the aftermath of the budget is proving difficult for the Chancellor,

defending herself from accusations she misled people about the state of the public finances

ahead of her statement. We'll talk about that, her choices on tax and benefits, and what's

happened to the plan for growth. The government's expected to announce restrictions on the right

to trial by jury, a pragmatic approach to the Crown Court backlog or an assault on justice will discuss.

And it's official, your party, the new challenger on the left, has been launched.

What does this mean for our fragmenting political landscape?

First, let's meet my panel.

Catherine Atkinson is the Labour MP for Derby North, elected last year.

She is a barrister and sits on the Commons Transport Select Committee.

I'm sure you're far too busy to get to the theatre these days, Catherine.

But I've been enjoying the tribute to Sir Tom Stoppard in today's newspapers

and a lovely story of him interviewing for a reporter's job

on a newspaper in the 1960s.

Having claimed an interest in politics,

he was asked by an editor to name the Home Secretary.

Stoppard paused and replied,

look, I said I was interested, not obsessed.

I wonder, is there an alternative career path you almost went down or narrowly swerved?
