of the party conferences? And what will the Lib Dems, Labour and Conservatives hope to achieve

at their gatherings this autumn? Plus, flying the flag, a symbol of unity or division. And why can't we agree?

We'll talk about patriotism and social cohesion too. First, let's meet my panel.

Labor's Calvin Bailey is MP for Leighton and Wanstead in northeast London. Born in Zambia,

he was elected last year after a long and distinguished career as an RAF pilot. He was

decorated for his role in Afghanistan. He's now notching up his first sortie here in our Westminster

Hour studio, and it's good to have you with us, Calvin. Thank you. Alex Burkhart is the Conservative

MP for Brentwood and Ongar in Essex, a former history teacher.

He now shadows the roles of Northern Ireland Secretary and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster

and is leading the Tory's policy review. A boxing fan, Alex occasionally stands in for

Kemi Badenock at PMQs, which must be a fairly daunting ring to step into, Alex?

Yeah, you certainly feel like you're in the spotlight.

And one of the extraordinary things about the House of Commons

is that everyone can make eye contact with each other.

And so when you're behind the dispatch box, you know that all eyes are on you.
