The government here has sidestepped questions about the legality of the attack,

but Sir Kirstama has said the UK is going to allow the US to take defensive action

from British military bases.

but first, let's meet them. Catherine West is the Labour MP for Hornsie and Fryan Barnett in

North London. She's been an MP. Since 2015, until September Catherine was a minister in the

foreign office. She is now the UK's trade envoy to Pakistan. And on weekends like this,

Catherine, do you miss being in the foreign office or are you happy being here, freely speaking

your mind? Well, I've always been an independent thinker, but I think I'm just really grateful

that we have such fantastic people in the crisis centre.

Just reflecting back to, I remember the conflict with Pakistan, India and just remembering how fantastic and professional the people are in the foreign office

who look after Brits abroad and they do a really, really good job.

And I really trust them to get this right at the moment of crisis.
