This is the baseball tonight podcast for Wednesday, July 19, 2023, and today will be better

than yesterday.

I'm Buster only working for my home in New York, Taylor Schwank is working from the

Swing Studios, and Sarah Abbott is working for ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut, and guys

before we go forward, that news would just pass, you know, with the tree falling on

them and he suffered the broken back, that was crazy.

I texted him, you know, afterward, you know, just having grown up, my brother's a logger,

I worked cutting down trees and splitting them, growing up.

Man, I mean, a broken back is a serious thing, which he suffered, it could have been a lot

worse.

Oh my God, I saw his post, first of all, legitimate thoughts and prayers out the Jeff

pass in his family.

Yes.

You know, I'm glad that he can still, you know, be engaged in the baseball universe, but when

I started reading that, I was like, is he paralyzed?

Like I had to read it again, just to make sure that he was actually okay.

And I, you know, Jeff is a friendly gentleman.

I texted him last week about something that I saw that he tweeted and I didn't get a

response back or anything else and that's unlike our guy and lo and behold, he is laid

up.

So we are hoping for the best for him and hoping that he's recovers quickly.
