I'm Roberta Glass and you're listening to my true crime report. On May 5th, 1993, in West Memphis, Arkansas, three eight-year-old boys went missing, Stevie Branch, Michael Moore, and Christopher Byers. In the early afternoon of the next day, the boys were found dead, stripped naked, hagtied with their own

shoelaces in a creek in the Robin Hood Hills section. Three men were convicted of the crime.

Jesse Miss Kelly, who was tried alone, and Jason Baldwin and Damien Eccles, who were tried

together. Miss Kelly and Baldwin received life sentences,

while Eccles received a death sentence. Then HBO released a series of documentaries that cast

out on their conviction and a public campaign to free them unsue. With celebrities such as Johnny Depp,

Natalie Mains, and Eddie Vedder lending their voices to free them unsued, with celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Natalie Maines, and Eddie Vedder,

lending their voices to free the convicted child killers.

It's estimated $10 to $20 million was spent trying to overturn their conviction.

Then, in 2011, the West Memphis 3 asked the state to plead guilty, be inford plea, despite their guilty plea, making them a legal rarity, twice convicted triple child killers.
