Welcome to, Yo Quero Dinoero, the podcast,

a personal finance podcast for the modern Latina.

I'm your host, Janice, and this is our first episode. So I would love to basically introduce at first my intentions for this podcast,

and we can talk a little bit about what a modern Latina is, because I'm sure you're asking

yourself, well, what does this mean? Is this the right place for me to be?

I want the Yo Kero Dinero Podcast to be a culturally relevant place for you to come to get

all types of information regarding personal finance, whether it's investing, saving, budgeting,

how to deal with debt, how to create wealth, how to create a side gig. I mean, we're going to talk about all of that and more. So,

just to be clear, this ain't your Auberitas financial advice. So I will not be telling you to put

your money under the mattress. Okay. That's number one. And number two,

if we're going to talk about what it means to be a modern Latina, for me, I think the modern

Latina is a woman who is looking to build wealth for future generations of their families because let's face it,

I know a lot of us are in a place where we are financially supporting family members.

You know, we're typically the first generation of our families to go to college.

We are typically working more high-level jobs than the women in past generations of our families,
