And when I got to What Not to Wear, I noticed this unbelievable power that we were giving

people.

They went from feeling lousy about themselves for having gained 10 pounds and losing their

sense of style while having three kids to putting them in an outfit that just made them

remember who they are.

Now I know why fashion and psychology they meet.

Why aren't we dressing women that are above a size, you know, 14 and making them just

as fashionable as the rest of the world? The moment I stopped competing and the moment I stopped

evaluating myself, comparing myself to the women

around me in every aspect of my life, that's when I started to succeed.

How many mood words does it take for it to go from, like, inspiration to straight up cultural

appropriation? It's not a fashion statement. These are cultural things. It's a form of neocolonialism.

And then I started to ask women after meetings or whatever was going on, have any of you ever

objectified yourself? Totally unanimous, yes, we have. So whether women objectify women or we objectify ourselves or men objectify us, the

self-esteem issue is huge. And we have to turn that around so that women are reaching potential

and not feeling less than and not letting industries like the fashion industry and the beauty industry take advantage of our vulnerable state.
