That is, unless you ask the players...

There were so much that happened before that.

In fact, one tournament, one team, is where it really began.

The 91 team started it all.

99 World Cup team was sort of the tsunami hitting the shore, you know, that many years later.

That's right. There was a women's world cup in 1991, the first women World Cup, that a lot of soccer fans don't even
