What story is God telling and how does it concern us?

That's the question, isn't it?

We need to know what kind of story God is telling and we need to know our role in it.

We need to know how to tell the difference between friend and foe.

Who are the villains in this tale? Is this a story with dragons in it?

And if there are dragons, who's going to fight them?

Where's this story going?

How can I play my part in it?

Play my part in such a way as not to be ashamed when the last

word of the last chapter is read aloud and the book closed. Here in the King's

Hall, our aim is to help you read that story and find your place in it, to equip you for the great campaign

you found yourself written into, whether you like it or not, by the way.

What you'll find is that this story is a story of conquest.

It's a story of empires rising and falling and turning to dust

before a world-swallowing empire to put them all to shape.

It's a story with heroes to make Odysseus and Anius look soft and

enemies to make Sauron and Jadus seem small. You'll find in fact that the task you have been given in this story is nothing less than seeing the world one,

seeing the world conquered and colonized and baptized and disciple.
