fighter pilot podcast, the internet radio show all about the world of combat

aircraft and the brave pilots who fly them.

My name is Vincent Aiello.

I will be your host.

And I just want to spend a few minutes here in episode zero describing this brand new show

for you. What it is, how often it will come out, what kind of information it will cover, etc.

But before I do that, let me tell you how and why this show came about.

Now if you're listening to this you would probably

agree that fighter jets are cool. For me the fascination began at a young age when my

family used to go to air shows and as kids my brothers and I used to

tinker with remote control airplanes because we just thought that anything that flu was cool.

Well in high school I made up my mind that I wanted to be a fighter pilot

and was fortunate to spend the next 25 years flying

the FAA 18 Hornet, F-16 fighting Falcon, another aircraft for the United States Navy.

Throughout my career, people I would meet would often ask me what it was like to fly a jet and pull geez and other things.

I was always happy to share my experiences because hey it's a great job and when I retired from the Navy in early 2017, I knew there were still a lot of people out there who were fascinated with jet fighters.

And I also wanted to find a way to keep involved with this profession that had become such a huge part of my life.

So I started the Fighter Pilot Podcast to explore and share the world of air combat

with those who'd like to know a little more about it.

So if you maybe once wanted to be a military pilot, but life got in the way, or if every

summer you braved the crowds and the traffic and take the family to an occasional air show.
